About

Slow photographs of fast-changing places.

Portrait of Lina Farah

I'm Lina, a documentary and landscape photographer based in Amman.

I spent my twenties as a field researcher before picking up a camera full time. That habit stayed: I return to the same places for years, in every season, until the photographs start to say something the first visit couldn't.

Most of my work is in black and white. It strips a place down to light, weather and shape, and it leaves room for the people in it.

I work on commissions for magazines and NGOs, sell a small number of prints each year, and teach a landscape workshop every spring.
